Soccer Extreme : Former Fulham and USA international striker Brian McBride has announced that he will retire from professional football at the end of the season.The 38-year-old declared on Friday that he is set to call it a day after finishing this season with his hometown club Chicago Fire. This is his third season with the MLS side.
McBride spent four and a half years with Premier League club Fulham. He also made 96 appearances for the US national team and retired four years ago after the end of the 2006 World Cup finals.
McBride is ranked as the third highest goalscorer in US football history with 30 goals. (goal)
