Soccer Extreme : Croatian spitter Ivan Klasnic last night accused John Terry of punching him in the kidneys.The England skipper claimed the new Bolton striker spat at him during the 5-1 World Cup mauling of Croatia on Wednesday.
Klasnic yesterday confessed to Bolton boss Gary Megson that he DID spit - but insisted he was aiming at the turf rather than at Terry.
And Klasnic, who had a double kidney transplant in 2007, claimed it was a reaction because the England skipper had punched him deliberately.
The Croat raged: "He hit me with a fist exactly in the place where I've been operated.
"I was lucky to be wearing a protective belt. He is the first player who has tried to hit me with a purpose in the kidney. He insulted me first then he hit me.
"And now he has accused me of spitting at him? I didn't do it.
"We spoke after the final whistle and I thought we sorted everything out - but obviously not so."
A Bolton source said: "Megson pulled Klasnic in straight away and listened to his explanation.
"But he told Ivan in no uncertain terms that that sort of thing is not acceptable.
"He told him he will get hammered if he does that kind of thing in the Premier League."
Megson said: "Ivan told me he has spoken with Terry and they have had a private word and the matter is resolved between them.
"It was private, so I don't know what was said but, as I understand it, it has been sorted." (thesun)
