REPORTS

MAN UTD 2 - 2 WEST BROM
Sir Alex Ferguson dumped Wayne Rooney to the bench, then saw his side throw away another two-goal lead against West Bromwich Albion as Manchester United's season lurches from one crisis to another.

United's title challenge is in danger of disintegrating before the onset of winter after a calamitous mistake from Edwin van der Sar allowed Soren Tchoyi to complete a staggering comeback. Read More >> (Telegraph)

ARSENAL 2 - 1 BIRMINGHAM
When Arsene Wenger used his programme notes to discuss the thorny issue of dangerous tackling, it is fair to assume that he would not have envisaged this match becoming overshadowed by a reckless challenge from one of his own players.

A high and late injury time lunge from Jack Wilshere not only merited a straight red card, but also rather changed the parameters of the recent debate. After the way Wilshere clearly endangered Nikola Zigic, it can no longer be suggested that Arsenal are only the victims of foul play. Read More >> (Telegraph)

ASTON VILLA 0 - 0 CHELSEA

A below-par Chelsea edged five points clear at the top of the league table after being held by dogged Aston Villa. The hosts started brightly as Stephen Ireland screwed an effort wide and Petr Cech tipped John Carew's shot around the post within the first five minutes.

The Blues improved after the break and Branislav Ivanovic and Nicolas Anelka both headed against the woodwork. Ciaran Clark also hit the post for Villa while Nigel Reo-Coker spurned a great chance to win it at the death. Read More >> (bbc)

FULHAM 1 - 2 TOTTENHAM HOTSPURS
Tom Huddlestone gave Tottenham a controversial 2-1 win at Fulham on Saturday after his goal was initially ruled out for offside. Harry Redknapp's team trailed to Diomansy Kamara's first half goal at Craven Cottage, but Roman Pavlyuchenko equalised a minute later to set the stage for Huddlestone's dubious winner.

Tottenham defender William Gallas appeared to be offside when Huddlestone's second half strike flashed into the net and the linesman flagged to disallow the goal, only for referee Mike Dean to over-rule the decision to leave Fulham fuming. Read More >> (soccerway)

Italy - Serie A :

FT AC Milan 3 - 1 Chievo

REPORTS

AC MILAN 3 - 1 CHIEVO

Not a bad game, but not a great one either. Good match, but you weren't that impressive in my opinion. No midfield player created a single opportunity to score, and in general your attackers were left to fend for themselves the entire match. Strange tactic for a match against Chievo. Maybe they were told to conserve energy for Madrid.

The one truly positive thing was the Ibra-Pato partnership. They played like they've been playing together for years.

AC Milan's Pato shoots to score against Chievo during their Italian Serie A

Ibra had a so-so match, the two assists were vital for the win, but also had the misfortune of scoring an owngoal. Had some nice dribbles but wasn't very inolved in the second half. Still, his so-so matches win you points.

Ronaldinho apart from the pass to Antonini, that was offside, and the assist to Robinho in the end, really didn't do much apart from keeping the ball at his feet.

Pato was magnificent. Two chances, two clinical finishes. Lokked very lively as well. Antonini was great, strong in defence, ran his ass off, and even threatened forward. Read More >> (forum.acmilan-online)
