Soccer Extreme : Rome-based radio station Rete Sport has claimed this morning that Roma centre-back Philippe Mexes was involved in a scuffle with a boxer last night. The incident apparently happened at the renowned Gilda dance club. It is reported that the 26-year-old had a heated discussion with this individual and a brawl ensued.Scroll Down ..

Italian news agency ANSA adds that compatriot Jeremy Menez was also on the scene and the pair were ‘assaulted’ by a group of Lazio supporters, but they eventually decided not to press charges when the police arrived.
The Frenchman was in action yesterday afternoon, as Roma drew 2-2 at Reggina.
